Piotr’s Blog – Foxburrow Grange rated Good!
In last month’s blog, I announced that we were expecting good news about Foxburrow Grange.
Well, it’s now official. I am delighted to let you all know that Foxburrow Grange, our specialist residential, nursing and dementia care home in Colchester has been formally rated ‘GOOD’ in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Staff and managers at Foxburrow Grange are very happy with the Inspectors’ findings and rightly so. They have worked very hard since the last inspection to achieve this rating by delivering exceptional person centred care support and I couldn’t be prouder of them all.
The CQC rating is great news for the people we support and their families, as it gives them peace of mind that they are getting excellent care and support.
Foxburrow Grange is a wonderful home, with state of the art facilities and compassionate staff who really care – just the combination anyone would want for their loved ones.
Staff at Foxburrow Grange ensure that residents receive the care that they need and prefer, as outlined in the report:
Staff provided people with individualised care, which was centred on their needs and wishes. The care and support provided to people was based upon their preferences. Consequently, people received care from staff who knew and understood them and with whom they felt comfortable.
Staff were thoughtful and patient when providing care and supported people to make choices about all aspects of their daily life. Staff were respectful and showed empathy, compassion and kindness when speaking to people.
