Piotr’s Blog – GDPR

As most people are aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25 May 2018.  GDPR is important as it protects people’s personal information.

Outlook Care takes its responsibility to protecting its customers’ information and their privacy very seriously.  We have been working hard over the last year to embrace the ethos behind the regulation and we are committed to handling our customer data carefully, respectfully and responsibly and to ensure we are compliant with the new legislation.

We have updated our privacy policy which explains what information we collect and hold, what we do with it, how we will look after it and who we might share it with.

We will be accountable and compliant and have already put into place a number of technical and organisational measures to meet the accountability principle of  GDPR.

We also recognise that it is crucial that everyone in Outlook Care is aware of how to protect the data of the people we support, their families and our partners so we have already delivered Board training, have planned management training and are rolling out training for all staff.  We have also provided our privacy statement in an easy read format.

If you have any questions relating to our privacy statement or our commitment to GDPR please do not hesitate to contact me on the number below.

All the very best.
