Involving our customers in the delivery of their services is the most natural of processes for Outlook Care. The people we support are the experts.
We look to them to influence how their services are designed and operate. We believe that greater involvement of customers will shape and influence the organisation leading to happier customers.
Customer involvement is firmly embedded within Outlook Care but there is always room for improvement, at an individual, service or organisational level. We have refreshed our Involvement Strategy which has evolved from working alongside our customers through a number of forums, experts by experience, customer meetings, surveys and from general conversational feedback. We have also been reviewing our Vision and Values, involving staff and people we support and we aim to re-energise, refocus and ensure we continue to keep our customers, new and existing central to all decision making.
Decisions and choices made by people we support will impact at an individual, service and organisational level. We will continue to empower the natural leaders of those we support to campaign on behalf of others and we will empower people we support to share their stories to further develop a culture of innovation and opportunity.
We will be launching our refreshed Involvement Strategy to all customers and staff over the coming weeks outlining the finer details. I, for one, am very excited about this development and I know people we support and our terrific staff will be too.
