Coronavirus lockdown for some of our services

It is with regret that we have to inform family and friends of Outlook Care customers that due to more than one positive lateral flow test (LFT)/polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test amongst some of our staff we are currently in lockdown in some of our Services.  Please call the Service that your loved one lives at directly to find out if that Service is affected by a lockdown.

For those Services in lockdown, we understand the impact this will have on people wanting to visit loved ones.

Current Visiting Procedure

Family and friends will still be able to visit loved ones affected by a lockdown by booking garden or window visits.  Please call the Service directly to book if you wish to visit.

Essential visits and essential care givers will not be affected by these changes.

Visits out of Services

If you are planning to take your loved one home during the lockdown period, the following applies:

  • the customer should self-isolate for 14 days on their return to the home regardless of their vaccine status. This is to ensure that, in the event they have unknowingly become infected while out of the home, they minimise the chances of passing that infection on to other customers and staff.
  • avoid visiting people that customers do not usually spend time with regularly.
  • avoid visits out that involve mixing with a large number of people indoors.
  • ask those that customers are visiting to undertake regular lateral flow testing, and receive a negative lateral flow on the day of the visit.
  • ask those that customers are visiting to have had their COVID-19 vaccinations, including their booster if eligible.

We are following all guidelines as per the Government’s and Public Health England’s Guidance.

We are sorry that this has happened and we will continue to make it an enjoyable time for everyone at all of our Services.

Thank you for your continued support.
