Outlook Care Customers Choose Theme Tune
As part of our lockdown activities, we recently held a competition in our services to choose a theme tune that best represents how people feel, through coronavirus and life in general.
Quality Manager (and lockdown activities master!), Sara, wanted to encapsulate how people feel about their lives at Outlook Care in a song. Emails were sent out to each service asking customers and staff alike to send in their song ideas and they quickly mounted up!
Sara made a short list which she sent to the Outlook Care Board who chose a ‘top five’ and then got busy making the unveiling winning event a very special occasion. Cue an Oscars themed award ceremony, complete with gold envelopes and statuettes!
Customers and staff were sent very stylish invitations and asked to dress up for the occasion so that the virtual event could be a night to remember and people did not disappoint! It was lovely to see so many people getting involved, dressed to impress and embracing the evening.
The top five songs were:
- Happy – Pharrel Williams
- Don’t worry be happy – Bobby McFerrin
- We are family – Sister Sledge
- I can see clearly now – Jimmy Cliff
- Don’t worry about a thing – Bob Marley
After a great build up of X factor Judges music and a little dance with each song in the top five, CEO Piotr unveiled the winner on screen………Happy by Pharrel!
Then the party began with dancing across the services! This went on until midnight! (Editor – did this really?!)
We’re sure that Pharrel would be delighted to know that we have adopted his very uplifting song as our theme tune and we’ll be thinking of Outlook Care whenever it’s played.
