Learning and Career Development
All new staff receive a comprehensive induction and training programme along with regular 1:1 support. Care staff complete the Care Certificate within the first 12 weeks – supported and paid for.
You will also have your own on line learning account with access to an extensive library of video based learning
We also have development programmes to help you advance your career with Outlook Care. The majority of our middle and senior Managers have been able to apply their learning to gain promotion with us.
Recognition for what you do
Everyone needs to know when they’re doing a good job.
Our staff recognition and thank you scheme ensures that Managers recognise great work, thank staff and share and publicise achievements. We also reward and celebrate the great achievements of our fabulous workforce with an annual Best of Best Award.
Morenike Dada, winner of our Best of the Best Award, 2014
We are also extremely proud to have nominated staff for external recognition at the Great British Care Awards, the National Care Awards and the 3rd Sector Care Awards where they have been recognised regionally and nationally.
Keeping you informed
Once in post you will be kept up to date through regular team meetings. You will also receive regular briefings so you are aware what is happening across the rest of the company.
Staff magazine
Our staff magazine Grapevine keeps you up to date and inspired by the great work our staff do – find the latest edition of Grapevine in our Resource Library
Staff Representation
We recognise the support Trade Unions can offer and meet with them regularly to consult and negotiate on matters affecting staff. We recognise UNISON and GMB and can provide contact details if you wish to join them.
