• About Outlook Care

  • Outlook Care is one of the largest providers of learning disability services in the South East.

    We began in 1990 when many organisations like us were set up to enable residents (as the people who use our services were referred to at that time) to access their benefits. At that time we operated three companies Barking & Dagenham Housing Consortium; Brentwood Housing Consortium and Havering Housing Consortium. We operated under the name of the Barking, Havering and Brentwood Housing Consortia. In 1999, the three organisations merged to become Barking, Havering and Brentwood Housing Consortium and by the end of that year we had renamed ourselves Outlook Care coinciding with a central services office relocation to Billericay, where we stayed until 2020. Our registered office is now within Foxburrow Grange, our nursing and dementia care home, based in Colchester. From those small beginnings we have grown into a large provider of care and support services.

    Outlook Care - ISO 9001: 2015 Certified for Quality Management Systems

    Outlook Care’s documented Quality Management System (QMS) ensures that we work towards our Vision, and within our Values, and to meet the standards we have set for the delivery of our services.

     

    The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is a non-governmental global organisation established in 1947 that works to develop standards across goods and services. Outlook Care first achieved certification to the ISO Quality Standard in 1995 and has had continual certification since.

     

    In January 2023 the auditor commented :
    “ ... the company is clearly driven by strong values of quality care and with a focus on providing a great working environment for their staff. The company philosophy is clearly communicated from management to all team members and continual improvement is paramount to the development of the company. Overall, there is a clear commitment to improvement within the company and the auditor is happy that a robust and effective QMS is in place ”.
