Outlook Care and The Metropolitan Police Join Forces to Safeguard Vulnerable Adults
During Safeguarding Adults Week 2024, Outlook Care, inpartnership with the Metropolitan Police Service, hosted a vital training session entitled "What to Do When a Vulnerable Person Goes Missing." The event, held at the London Borough of Waltham Forest Town Hall on November 21, 2024, was a crucial step towards enhancing the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals within the community.
A Collaborative Effort for a Safer Community
The SAR Ivan Learning Event was designed to equip attendeeswith the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively when a persongoes missing. By bringing together local authorities, social services, andcommunity organisations, the event fostered a collaborative approach tosafeguarding vulnerable adults.

Grand Re-Opening of St. George's Nursing Home, Witham
Following a comprehensive 18-month renovation, Outlook Care were delighted to host a grand re-opening of St George's Nursing Home in Witham, which they acquired in October 2022. The home has undergone a significant transformation to create a modern and welcoming environment that prioritises resident well-being.
The refurbishment included a complete modernisation of the kitchen and communal areas, along with significant upgrades to all 33 bedrooms. Each room now features a nurse call system, television, internet access and telephone. Several ground-floor rooms further boast private terraces, providing residents a peaceful space to connect with nature.
“Our primary objective was to create a warm and invitingspace that reflects the exceptional care provided by our dedicated team,” says Sally Morgan, Registered Manager at St. George's. “The renovations prioritise resident well-being by fostering a sense of independence, dignity, and support.”
A Celebration of Community
The re-opening ceremony was a vibrant celebration filled with varied activities and heartwarming moments.
It was opened by Renaud Huck and Piot Rejek, (Outlook Care Chair and CEO respectively.) Local MP candidate, Dame Priti Patel, commended St. George's for its role in the community, and a highlight was a performance by the Foxy Foxes Dementia Choir, from Outlook Care’s Foxburrow Grange care home in Colchester.

Opportunities are continually identified and feed into action plans that focus on improvement. The culture at Outlook Care is such that the team are always looking reflect on their performance, analyse results and use this data to find ways in which they can improve further.’

This framework sets a clear and consistent standard for what good care looks like, ensuring that people using our health and social care services have positive experiences.
