Dementia Respite Care Near Me
Dementia Respite Care
Foxburrow Grange in Colchester can provide respite care for both the elderly and those with dementia. This is a temporary, short-term stay in our care home, designed to support you and your family. If you are a caregiver, respite care lets you take a break or enables you to take time out to get things done. Respite care has many benefits for everyone involved as it offers time to enjoy a short break, make new friendships and allow still the time for family members to be near by .
We offer respite for a minimum of two weeks stay. Fees are paid in advance.
When to arrange respite care
There are lots of reasons why you might want to arrange temporary care for a family member or indeed an individual may choose a short break in a care home
For example, you might want to consider respite care if:
you need additional support – perhaps after feeling unwell.
your loved one needs help to recover from an illness or operation.
you are considering moving your loved one into a care home permanently, and they would like a trial visit.
the person you are caring for is feeling lonely and might benefit from spending some time among other people in a care home.
You want a break from living alone and want to enjoy what a care home offers for a short time.
Finding the right respite break for you
If you or your loved one decide to book a short stay Foxburrow Grange, you can expect a warm welcome by the management team and staff.
You will be assigned a key worker who will show you both around the home and help your loved one to settle in on the day of admission .
We will work with you so we can get to know your loved one, so we can make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
We will want to find out what is important to them, so we will ask questions like:
What are your likes and dislikes?
Do you have any routines or preferences you would like us to know about?
What do you like to eat and drink?
When do you like to go to bed?
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
We will introduce you to other residents and let you know what activities are planned ; we will ensure that your stay meets your needs.
Why not get in touch today for an informed discussion.
